Annoying the drunks

Posted on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 at 6:50pm.

I live fairly close to a pub and so I get a few drunk people walking past my house at random hours in the night.

Some of them are nice, happy drunks. The kind who just totter along, singing to themselves.
Then there are the others, who have obviously had an argument with someone recently and are muttering angrily away to themselves while they stagger home.

When I get the second type of drunks staggering past my house, I like to sneakily and quietly open my bedroom window and then SLAM it shut. I almost always get a “Oh, f*** off!” or a “F*** you too!”.

And then I giggle to myself and go back to sleep.

Amusing spam comments

Some of the more amusing spam comments I came across upon opening my WordPress Dashboard:

How very polite!

Brownie Points for being honest, I suppose.

Naw, thanks! You’re making me blush…

As I generally get a few of these a week, I think I might start collecting them.

A budding alcoholic

Me:- drinking a mug of wine in my pink pyjamas in my bedroom. On a WORK NIGHT.

I’m such a rebel.

I will not be successful if I live on my own…

Like most people, I don’t plan on living in the family home for the rest of my life, despite having meals cooked for me, cheap Internet and cable and the cheap rent and all the rest of it. I want independence at some point.

First, I should really – and I meant REALLY – learn how to cook.

This is my second attempt at a simple cheese omelette.

2nd attempt at an omelette

It looks more like scrambled eggs. By the way, it’s not burnt; the dark brown bits you can see are actually some of the drops of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce (which I LOVE).

And it didn’t look any better after I put it on a plate and tried to make it vaguely resemble an omelette.

2nd attempt at an omelette

Part of the problem is that my mum has never taught me how to cook anything and my school only taught us how to make rock cakes, which totally lived up to their name, and soup, which was very watery and the vegetables floated on top.

I think it’s time I started finding simple recipes on the Internet.
