Myke and I have been on holiday for the past two weeks.
During this time, we decided to go for a 6(ish) mile walk between Perranporth (where we were staying) and St Agnes (a town nearby).
I – for once – decided NOT to wear full makeup because I was sure I’d end up sweating it off (and what a LOVELY picture I’ve painted for you there.
). I instead went all naked on my face.
Now, the makeup I would normally wear has an SPF of factor 50. And because I *always* wear this makeup, I DON’T need suntan lotions on my face.
Basically, this REALLY painfully pale girl didn’t wear ANYTHING to protect the face from the sun AND…I have had such bad sunburn that my face was almost purple, I had BLISTERS on my face (from the sunburn), the skin – five days on – is TOO itchy and I keep having a good ol’ scratch at it AND…I’m “flaking” everywhere. :’(
(Other than that I had an EXCELLENT holiday and I shall bore you all with it very soon!

Just over a week ago, Sam and I bought a home piercing kit. The plan was to get one of our other friends – Kerry – around Sam’s house and just scare Kerry into thinking that we were going to pierce her.
Yeah, that totally didn’t happen. Instead, we pierced each other.
Sam gave me another conch piercing (in the middle of the flat part of the top of the ear) and I gave Sam a helix piercing (around the rim of the ear).
We were very drunk at the time but – I loved it and it’s made me realise just how much I would totally love to become a piercer. :/
Both piercings are healing nicely and we’re still planning on “getting” Kerry.

Today was the day for my root canal to be redone.
I was there all nervous and sweaty and scared and stuff and then I was called in.
I sat down and my dentist opened my mouth to have a look and confirm which tooth had to have the root canal redone. OR SO I THOUGHT!
Turns out that it was a sneaky way to put numbing stuff on my gum.
We talked about piercings (turns out that my DENTIST wants her tongue pierced – dentists usually HATE oral piercings) and I calmed down a bit (due to talking about a subject I LOVE).
Then I had a small injection in the area where the root canal is – the numbing stuff was to prevent the pain of the needle.
And then my old crappy and faulty root canal was removed and the new one was put in place.
It took about half an hour and the muscles in and around my lips started to have spasms but it was done.
The tooth with the root canal had been left open for over a year when I had it done the first time and it had turned the tooth “black”. My new dentist actually listened to me when I went in last time and told her that the “black” tooth upset me and she whitened the tooth for me. With no extra cost.
Now I have a set of “pearly-whites” and feel free to smile again!
(Bwaha – photos coming soon!

For the past three weeks or so, I’ve had both ears become blocked randomly. One minute they’re fine, the next they’re blocked. And then back again.
When they’re blocked, I can’t really do my job properly because I need to be able to answer phones and talk to people and it’s a BIT difficult to do those things if you can’t hear anything.
I’ve tried ear drops and warm olive oil but nothing has cleared them. I’ve also been getting sharp “shooting” pains inside my ear.
I think I’ll have to make a Doctor’s appointment tomorrow to get them syringed. (And hopefully by saying that, they’ll magically fix themselves tonight!)

After three years of not having a dentist and ten months of waiting on the NHS list, I was finally given a dentist last month. Today was my first visit there.
It didn’t start well – it was in an area I didn’t know very well and despite all of the maps and directions I was given, I STILL managed to get off the bus at the wrong stop and had to walk 15 minutes. The stop I was supposed to have gotten off on was right outside the dentist.
I went in, filled out the forms and sat shaking and nervous for 15 minutes and then was called up.
The dentist looked at my teeth, especially the one with the dodgy root canal. She said she can fix the root canal by redoing it (thank God for that because it’s £700 if I had to find a private dentist to do it). She can also fix the discolouration of the tooth (it’s kind of grey because the last dentist left it open for over a year).
There were no other problems with my teeth – no fillings are needed or anything, so I’m really happy.
Other than my root canal, I’ve never had a filling and I’ve been worrying that I might need one (or more) because of the energy drinks and sugary deliciousness that I consume.
Yay – my teeth are going to get fixed.
