I migrated back to WordPress less than two months ago and I’ve already had nearly 700 spam comments.
I know that, to some people, this isn’t a lot of spam. To me, it’s a LOT; I think I only had around 10 spam comments between August and February, back when I was still rockin’ my own script.
That’s what, a 700% increase?
Last Monday, I decided to install the Bad Behavior^ plugin after it had been recommended to me by @abledragon^.
It’s worked a charm. It’s blocked over 1300 “access attempts” (spam attempts?) and only 4 have gotten past that (and they were caught by Askimet). Needless to say, I’m really impressed!

Nice. You should publish the script you made that Lirae.co.uk used to be powered on. Who knows? Might be the next big thing
But yeah, spam is the most evil thing on the planet.

Spam is the most annoying thing in the world. It seems like every day I’m getting more and more. Thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely check it out.
